I guess I'll put system info in as well:
Macbook Air 13-inch, Late 2010 Processor 1.86 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Memory 2 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MB Software Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3 (11D50b)
Eve graphics are all at low or disabled and i'm only ever running one client.
IT mostly locks up during PI, but also when it's just sitting there. It happens randomly where the client basically just turns into a screenshot you cant interact with. Eve needs to be force closed.
Clearing all settings and cache made no difference. The troubles started an undetermined time after the initial crucible release. Incarna ran as smooth as a babys bottom. |

I will be at FanFest, and I have had this issue hit me a few times. I would be happy to let you poke around if we can get it to repeat. For me, it only happens when I run multiple clients in windowed mode for a while. One of the clients will freeze, the other continues to work fine.
Trebor may finally be able to do something useful, rather than spam evemails. :V: |

You sure? I havent crashed on MY MAC today, and it has been on for an hour now. I'm positive that efforts have been made to fix this issue. |

The Feb wrote:I'm glad to hear it worked for you, Ivana. My client didn't receive any patches today, though, and the latest one, last night, made me write that post. I wish I could be as positive as you are, but if you read my story, which I posted here, you'll find out I have my reasons to be disappointed. If you read that post you'll notice that GM's apparently didn't even bother reading my messages before replying, or they wouldn't suggest to use fewer clients when my message said it happens even with one... unless they're suggesting me to use 0 clients, i.e. not to play at all. By the way, my latest petition is still open: I replied GM's response of March 13th and then posted the Bug Hunters' reply... and it's been there unanswered ever since. Pardon me, Ivana, but I'm definitely not optimistic, especially if you consider this thread has been open since last December.
Today I've frozen several times, so it's not gone. It happens to be periodical. Which is strange since the same programs are running every day. Adium/jabber and Chrome. |

I dont think so. It was not there before the crucible patch, and the crashes happens too random, sometimes right after logging in. Sometimes when doing PI and sometimes when I's just idling in a station(with station environments turned off).
Other times it never happens during a session. |

With a torrent client or stuff downloading the game can run smoothly anywhere between 2 mins and 2 hours. After a reboot and launching only finder and EVE it's the same, 2 mins or 2 hours - completely random, but always freezes.
I'm noticing a lot fewer crashes when I'm not running Vuze torrent client at the same time. |

The Feb wrote:I'm not really worried about crashes: it's freezes that concern me. When client crashes the server will detect it's no longer there and place ships safe; with these freezes ships warp to where they were warping, if that was what you were doing when the freeze occurred... meaning they might end up at the battle field with you not able to do anything (or see anything).
I know that for a fact: happened to me a few times.
BTW, I notice there are still no comments from CCP
Freezes are crashes too, and that's also what I ment in my previous post. |
